Accreditation Dates

Media representatives accreditation to participate in the media coverage of Minsk 2020 European Championship begins on March 15, 2020.

The accreditation shall end June 1, 2020.

Accommodation and transfer

Media hotels – hotels “Slavyanskaya”, “Victoria 1”, “Victoria Spa”, “Victoria Olympus” (look “Accommodation and transfer”)..

Media representatives can use the service “Transfer: airport – hotel – airport” and “Transfer: train station – hotel – train station” (look “Accommodation and transfer”)..

Accreditation procedure for Belarusian media representatives

Belarusian media representatives accreditation is carried out by press
service of the local organizing committee for the European Championship. To obtain accreditation a verifier shall make a request on a letterhead signed by the head of the organization, fill out a personal application form * (fill out the form in the reference), attach a photo and send all documents to the address media@minsk2020fencing.by

Accreditation procedure for foreign media representatives.

Accreditation of foreign media representatives in the Republic of Belarus is carried out in accordance with the Regulation on the Procedure.

For foreign journalists, visiting Belarus, including countries of the former Soviet Union, in a visa-free regime obtaining accreditation with the Belarusian Foreign Ministry is mandatory.
For temporary accreditation a verifier shall provide to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the following documents

  • A written request on the official letterhead of the organization signed by the head of the mass media organization with a request for accreditation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of persons representing this body. The request must contain the following information: first and family names, date of birth, citizenship, passport number, issue and expiration dates, desired duration of accreditation, diplomatic mission where a journalist intends to receive an entry visa, purposes of the visit;
  • completed personally by a journalist to be accredited
  • Two photos of the accredited correspondent in 3×4 cm format.

Upon completion of temporary accreditation procedures by a foreign mass media representative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Department shall send a written confirmation to the appropriate Belarusian diplomatic establishment for issuing a press visa.

Representatives of foreign mass media temporarily accredited at the MFA shall receive an accreditation certificate (accreditation card).

Representatives of foreign media that have permanent accreditation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus do not need re-accreditation.
